  1. How do I become a TEXTKING translator?
Simply register by entering your e-mail address and choosing a password. After registering you can then log in to create and edit your profile. To register now, click here.

  1. What requirements do I have to fulfill to register as a TEXTKING translator?
To be a TEXTKING translator, you must have very good written communication skills in your native language and an excellent understanding of at least one other language. In order for us to reach you with translation requests, you must also have daily, reliable internet access.

  1. What do I do if I cannot or do not want to accept a translation assignment?
You decide whether to accept or decline each assignment. When you are notified of a new translation order, log into your personal TEXTKING login area, review the requirements and the source text of the order and decide whether you would like to accept. To decline the order, simply click the "Decline" button. Please do not accept an order unless you can finish within the required deadline!

  1. How much time do I have for a translation?
The amount of time you have for a translation depends on the customer’s requirements. Every translation request will specify the required delivery time and date.

  1. When will I receive the first assignment?
As soon as you have completed your profile, you will be listed in the search results for your language pair(s) and preferred subject areas.Then, it's only a matter of time before you receive the first translation request through TEXTKING. Please be aware that the number of orders you get will always depend on the level of customer demand.

  1. How many language combinations can I offer?
At TEXTKING, one of our core principles is that you as a translator should only translate into your native language. You can set up to 5 source languages on your profile.

  1. How much does it cost to register as a TEXTKING translator?
Nothing. Our service is free of charge. TEXTKING charges no costs or membership fees for hosting your translator profile.

  1. Do I have to give a certain amount of notice if I no longer want to be listed in the TEXTKING translator search?
No. You can unsubscribe at any time whenever you no longer wish to receive translation requests.

  1. What kind of translation quality does TEXTKING expect from its translators?
TEXTKING offers four different quality levels of translation, each tailored to specific customer needs. For an overview of these levels, please click here.

At TEXTKING you choose the text quality you can and want to offer. The customer decides whether to grant you their confidence on the basis of your profile.

You can communicate directly with TEXTKING at any time via your TEXTKING login area, via email, phone or skype. We will be happy to help.

  1. How does TEXTKING ensure that I will receive my fee from the customer?
You get paid directly by TEXTKING so there is no risk of non-payment. As soon as your translation is approved by the customer, your payment is automatically credited to your TEXTKING account.
